FILM INSPIRED | NOSTALGIC DENIM | AT HOME FAMILY SESSION

Ok, so I finally, FINALLY have this gorgeous and forever favorite family session on the blog! Can’t accurately explain how excited I am to share a handful of photographs with you, it’s one of those sessions I wish I could just shoot over and over again on repeat.

Photographing a friend & her family lends itself to creative freedom a bit. Inspired by film focusing heavily on story-telling, I went into this session really wanting to push the limits by stopping down my F/Stop, not worrying about crispness and rather embracing a bit of movement, incorporating a gritty grain that is reminiscent of old family photographs. Leaning into the blur that is family life— the beautiful chaos that our houses hold. I also was able to consult on wardrobe with this family, and I was so excited to create a lived-in aesthetic with beloved denim pieces, buttery soft fabrics and just a casual effortlessness to each outfit.

Comfortable. Real.
